Guest guest
I've never heard of one of these. BTW, what kind of pediatric equipment do you need? Guest guest
I completely agree with Amy. If I coded there'd be no life saving equipment small enough for me. When I worked in a hospital a number of otherwise abled bodied people died of heart attacks during stress test. My own beleif is to think it over long and hard if this test is worth it. What's the outcome going to do for you that justify the risks? Remember very little is known or understood about cardiac conditions of SMAers over 25 yrs old. Drs just don't know enough yet. Some hospitals are trying so hard to learn about us that they put research data and medical test ahead of the person with SMA's comfort, physical limitations and even safety. I'm not out to villianize any hard working drs. They're human beings and can make good or not so good that effect our lives. I'd put off the stress test until exusting all other avenues of testing and treatment first. {like a 24hr halter monitor, event monitor, EKG, sonogram, ct scan, etc} > > Has anyone had a chemically induced stress test done on the heart? Guest guest
Thanks everybody. Yeah I am thinking NO. I'd rather have a heart attack than die a slow death by pneumonia anyway!!!!! :-/ On 12/13/07 6:38 PM, " lorig713@...
