With the new March coming up, I started thinking about our

allies. What happened to RFK, Jr? He faded away.

I'm not sure what RFK Jr. is doing...but here's what he did NOT get to do: give three interviews on ABC. (The part about RFK Jr. is towards the end of this link). Aasa http://www.upi.com/ConsumerHealthDaily/view.php?StoryID=20060213-020858-7120r ABC cancelled three interviews with Kennedy Jr. regarding his investigation of thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative used in vaccines and linked to autism. I believe I read (and I'm sorry I don't remember the source) that RFK

Jr. wrote a letter to the New Mexico legislature in support of their

bill to remove thimerosal from vaccines. Also, I remember how last

summer he said that he wrote many letters to the editor about

thimerosal that never got published (he commented how all his other

letters always get printed). So he could very well be trying.

RFK, Jr. is speaking at the university were I work on March 9th. Because the person arranging for his presentation knows me I sent her a copy of "Deadly Immunity". In response she asked me to provide a quote for our campus newspaper: I am extremely excited that F. Kennedy, Jr. will be speaking at ULM on March 9,

2006 as part of the Presidential Lyceum Series. Of the many important environmental issues that Mr. Kennedy has addressed, one is of particular interest to me - and the many families living with Autism. In his article “Deadly Immunity”, published last year, he investigated the possible connection between mercury and autism. There has been an alarming increase in the incidence of Autism since the early 1990s which coincides with the increased number of childhood vaccines - in which mercury was used as a preservative. My son was the first student in Ouachita Parish to be identified as autistic, back in 1987. The incidence of autism at that time was 1 in 10,000.

Today autism is thought to affect 1 in 166 births! We are in the midst of an autism epidemic. F. Kennedy, Jr.'s interest and investigation of the Mercury/Autism connection gives credence to an ever increasing number of parents who believe that mercury in vaccines is directly responsible for their child’s development of an autism spectrum disorder. Lynda Huggins Library Systems Specialist Hope they will print it. We are allowed to submit questions for Mr.

Kennedy in advance. What would you guys suggest that I ask him?
