For those of you who are on SSDI and are working or are considering

employment:

A Trial Work Period (TWP) month is any month in which you gross $670 or

more in 2008. In 2007 this figure is $640.

The 2008 Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) amount will be $940/month

for beneficiaries who are disabled and $1,570/month for beneficiaries

who are blind. In 2007, SGA is $900/mo. for disabled beneficiaries and

$1,500/mo. for blind beneficiaries in 2007.

The Federal SSI benefit amount in 2008 will be $637/mo. for an

individual living in the community, and $956/mo. for a couple. (In

California, SSI plus the State Supplemental Payment (SSP) will be

raised on January 1, 2008 to $868/mo. for individuals and $1,521 per

month for couples, and on June 1, 2008 it will again be raised to

$888/mo. for individuals and $1,558 per month for couples.)
