Guest guest
Hi everyone, My sister with SMA 2 has to have some oral surgery done to remove a tooth. She can¹t open her mouth very wide so they are going to do the surgery at a hospital and put her fully under anesthesia. They said they will have to intubate her nasally since they will be working in her mouth and she¹s very worried about this. Has anyone on-list ever been nasally intubated and how did it go? Was it very painful? Did you choke? Any thoughts/experiences would help her. she is on-list but for some reason cannot post so she will be reading any replies. Thanks so much.
