Guest guest
Not that I know of. I checked the Medi-cal web site and only found the lists of suspended and ineligible providers. You might want to call the state. See: http://files.medi-cal.ca.gov/pubsdoco/contactframe.asp > > Hey Alana, is there is list online of doctors who accept straight medi-cal ? Guest guest
Thanks Alana, I called them and even they don't have a list. I called all over and every place said to get out my yellow pages and just start calling doctors. Ridiculous yes, but I called every doctor in my area and none of them accept medi-cal. Guest guest
You might ask other people with disabilities or seniors in your area. Check with the information and referral person at your local independent living center. Also, call around to the clinics that serve medically indigent folks. They will happily take Medi-Cal and can probably offer referrals. The county hospital probably has in-house docs that take outpatients. Planned Parenthood can at least do your healthy woman exam and can also probably offer referrals. Good luck! > > Thanks Alana, > I called them and even they don't have a list. Guest guest
I did that too, no luck. They all sound as if I am crazy to ask such a thing. hehe I even pay for this coverage, but no one wanted to take it! Finally I looked up allergy clinic (since i want to go because i' think i'm having an allergic reaction to something) and found a doctor who will take me! I couldn't believe it. I hope they don't call me back tomorrow and say oh sorry, we were wrong, we don't accept med-cal! haha I have an appt on saturday even. what luck! :) Lori <those2@...> wrote: Umm, you might just call a Physician Referral Line through a hospital. They can usually do a search by defined criteria such as insurance type, location, specialty, etc. Lori Joy wrote: > > Thanks Alana, > I called them and even they don't have a list. Guest guest
Umm, you might just call a Physician Referral Line through a hospital. They can usually do a search by defined criteria such as insurance type, location, specialty, etc. Lori Joy wrote: > > Thanks Alana, > I called them and even they don't have a list.
