Guest guest
Hi, I've been following with interest the discussion of MD's and pertussis and so on. My personal view is that any pre-judgement of a person is a mistake. Assuming that someone is an ass because they are an MD is just the other extreme from assuming that someone is an all-knowing saint just because they are an MD. Bad experiences with doctors make it valid to approach them with caution (I do) but they are still human individuals and it is only fair to allow for surprises... Why is it bad to be prejudiced against children with autism, people with different colored skin, people with different religious beliefs or even people with different political beliefs, but okay to be down on the majority of people (as yet unencountered) who belong to a particular profession? Consider the challenge of meeting each human being with an open mind and heart as a spiritual exercise. By the way, I think it is perfectly okay to be prejudiced against bad medicines, bad organizations, bad laws, etc. I am only concerned about the prejudgement of unmet human beings.
