Guest guest
I don't think we can or should go by a standard BMI chart or Calorie Calculators. Those are for active and healthy people. It's hard to say what weight you " should be. " I go by how I feel. I am 4'8 " and was 83 lbs and thought it felt like too much. I am now about 75 lbs. and feel like it's just right. I cut back a little on my Scandishakes and missed a few meals which is easy to do at work when I am really busy so it wasn't hard to lose the weight. The only time I noticed losing weight was when I ate less than 900 calories a day. I avoid fried or fatty food. I need to avoid sweets better. I only drink diet pop now (about a can a day). The rest is water. This is my *ongoing* resolution. Jenn

Guest guest
It truely is impossible to use a BMI chart. Even after surgery, I still have a pretty good curvature, so heaven knows how tall I really am. Jenn > > I don't think we can or should go by a standard BMI chart or Calorie > Calculators. Guest guest
I totally agree. It's so difficult judging a healthy weight for individuals with disabilities and those height/weight and BMI charts aren't worth a damn. This isn't to say be unhealthy and sickly, just don't be so concerned. I'm in the opposite boat from Lori. I'm 4'7 " and was 75 lbs. I felt it was too thin and tried very hard to gain weight. It took over 2 years, but I am now 95 lbs and feel much more healthy and sexy. I have also experienced less illness (which I attribute to the move to CA and weight gain). Everyone's different and that's more than okay - it's perfect. <3Kendra > > Happy 2007 everyone! > > > > > > > > I have written a list of 14 items for my new years > > resolutions. Guest guest
How did you gain weight, Kendra? I have been trying for years to gain weight. Actually, for the most part, I haven't worried about my weight that much in recent years. I've been relatively healthy, even though I'm very thin...about 4' 11 " and 68 pounds. But last September I got some kind of virus/upper respiratory thing that resulted in severe fatigue and a worsening of some swallowing problems, and I'm still fighting my way back from that. The swallowing is improving...and I've been eating rich and fattening stuff...but my weight has gone down to 66 pounds, and I am very frustrated. I'm trying to eat food, but I'm about to the point that maybe I need to mainly drink Scandishakes for awhile to try to gain weight. I'm not doing any nutritional supplements right now because my stomach just isn't big enough for food and supplements. Also, liquids are still a bit tough to swallow, but I am using thickener. Ideally, I would like to weigh about 80 pounds I think. But I have never been heavier than 70 pounds, and that was only for a very brief time. So if you have any tips, I'll take 'em! :-) Dina --- Kendra <kendranicole@...> wrote: > I totally agree. Guest guest
Dina, Did you order some Scandishake? Last time we spoke, you hadn't tried it yet? Guest guest
No, I haven't ordered any yet. I need to. Although my appetite is really improving. I have been very hungry all weekend, and I ate really good at the family Hanukkah party. :-) D. --- Lori <AmourGarden@...> wrote: > Dina, > > Did you order some Scandishake?
