Guest guest
Well Miss h has us kind of baffled. She's still doing well, but she's not coming off her bi-pap like we expected. We've noticed that she can come off for about an hour, but that after she goes back on she's exhausted and dips into the 80's. We'll be starting the pulmozyme in 15 minutes and I'm PRAYING that it helps because now she's sounding worse in her right lung. I talked to the pulmo today and it looks like we'll be here for a little while. They aren't going to discharge until h can be off bi-pap for min. 4 hours with none of the dips into the 80's after. That feels like a long way off right now. Also, she won't be allowed to go back to school for a while so we're going to have to arrange homebound. It's also looking like I'll be out for another semester because I don't think tricare will pay for home-health. Even with the issues today, h was more like herself in personality. I think it helped that she had 10 visitors not including and I. My parents came (of course), my mamaw and uncle came and then 6 of her friends from MDA camp came. There will be more MDA buddies every day that we're here. They all decided to switch up on days so that not a single day will go by that she doesn't have at least one MDA visitor. She's not popular or anything though *LOL* I'm headed back to her room now and I'll try to update again later Love and Hugs Jeni
Guest guest
Jeni - That's so good she has so many friends able to visit her. Being in the hospital for the long haul can get so downright boring! Give her a huge hug from me. Jenn
