A Bunch of Questions...

Hey you guys! So I have a bunch of questions I was wondering about and

am hoping some of you can help in answering me.

1. So I had spinal surgery about 3 yrs ago and during surgery I was

put on a breathing machine for a few wks b/c i had a collapsed lung.

The nose piece from the breathing machine i used to use has given me

these two rather noticeable drk bruise type marks on the top of my

nose and i was wondering if there was any way to get rid of them. It

is almost as if the bone has bruised and not the skin anymore because,

the marks used to also be on the sides of my nose but have now faded.

I tried using concealer to help hide the mark but it doesn't really

hide it very well.Any suggestions?

2. I'm going to start driving soon hopefully but have a somewhat weak

neck. I don't like using a headrest because it annoys me. Are there

any ways to exercise the neck to make it stonger or any other

solutions to help in this area?

3. I also want to go away for college. I want to attend Sonoma State

in california(I live about an hr or so away from Sonoma) but am going

through the process of trying to find helpers/living arrangements and

so on. I will most likely live alone(At least thats the plan right

now.)Can you guys give me some advice/ an idea of the process I will

be going through because I am new to all of this and I am sorta scared

of not knowing what I am doing.

Oh also to go with that question, I have to turn at night time and

need assistance with this so would i be able to have a helper for the

night time or most likely not? Or are there any other alternatives?

Thank you for any help you can give me!!I may come up with more since

I'm sure I am forgetting something heh.

I am SMA type 3, therefore, I don't have a lot of experience with some of the

difficulties you have had. However, I wanted you to know your message really

touched me. I admire your courage and determination. I don't know if Preet is

a girls name but if it is- YOU GO GIRL!

Peace,

Beth

The only one I can help you with is your question on

driving. I have pretty good neck control on most days,

but when I am driving I HAVE to wear a head rest...

When you are going 70 miles an hour and have to jerk

the car, without the headrest you are doomed if you

dont have normal neck strenth. Even just taking a bump

or a turn at 30mph puts a lot of pressure on your

neck. So even though you dont like it, I highly

suggest using it anyway. I have mine and only wear it

when I am driving. I can get someone to take it off or

put it on if I am somewhere for an extended period of

time and dont want it on... For safety, you really

need to have it if you want to drive.
