He had asked for any recent photos of her... the strange truth was that Beck had just sent me some photos of her and wanted me to photoshop them to remove the blush from her cheeks and to help with some glare on her forehead. I just finished the best one and sent it to her. I resent it to her brother. I didn't know very well on a personal level, but have been a member of this list, *her list*, since its inception. As others have said, by forming this list, she gave us a way to all come together...for questions, support and friendships. I've gained so many things from her efforts in making this list available to us all. I've gotten answers to questions when I've been frightened and worried...and I hope I've had answers for others from time to time too I've definitely gained friendships and support, and a sense of camaraderie with my fellow list members. Sometimes SMA can be your worst nightmare, sometimes it is invisible, and sometimes it is the catalyst without which none of us would have had some of the most incredible, fantastic, experiences. Whichever and whatever we may experience , all of us, included, live full, valid and important lives, and this should never again be questioned because we have SMA. And neither should our lives be measured by extra or borrowed time, as at any time we all could be involved in some kind of random accident, so in a sense it can be said that we all live longer than we are meant to, purely because nobody has really set the boundaries. Please never worry that 's life was in vain; I did not know her, so I don't know of her own personal life and what she accomplished there, but I do know that she set up a list that has, at times, united, ignited and reunited us and I, for one, am so very grateful to her for this. It always hurts when somebody we know passes away, and, I don't know why, it may well be selfish, but it always seems to hurt me more when it is somebody who passes on because of SMA. With love for all of us, for we all will be affected by this in some way.
