I have SMA Type II (advanced stages) and would need a carer on board...I'd luv to bring my own carer with but wouldn't be able to afford to take her with as well. Guest guest Posted November 26, 2006 Report Share Posted November 26, 2006 It is quite an economic hardship for people to travel, especially when having to pay wages and travel expenses for personal assistants. There's also a lot of expense when traveling with children, etc. I am willing to do grant writing for a scholarship fund if others will take on responsibilities such as finding a fiscal sponsor or creating a new 501©(3) that can receive grants and donations; doing other types of fundraising; establishing scholarship guidelines; etc. Alana Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now this was at a cost, but there was no worry about having your own if that was not possible. Id for sure set something like that up.
