Guest guest
Hello All, For those of you who do not know me, I am a 27-year-old woman with SMA Type I. I am married and I am normally very active on the boards though life has been quite busy lately. I lost access to my account a few months ago so this is actually my husbands e- mail/login. Anyhow, I just wanted to let everyone know that and I are expecting our first baby at the end of! We are very excited as well as nervous. So far, I am feeling a little puky all the time but otherwise fine. I had my first prenatal visit and ultrasound on Friday. I am 8 weeks/4days and the baby looks great. It has a strong heartbeat and is the appropriate size (about the size of a peanut ). It was so amazing to see the heartbeat and the little body. I am too small to have a vaginal birth so they will be scheduling a c-section for me around the end of April. They also did an overnight SAT study on me last night and 99% of the time I was within the normal ranges. The 1% which was low they said I was probably laying on my arm and messing up the circulation to my hand. Thank you for all of the support! I'll post another update next month! Please keep us in your prayers!

Any suggestions or advice, I would greatly appreciate. I am not on a vent and I do not use a bi-pap though they are ordering me one in case I need it later in my pregnancy. I have had a spinal fusion so I have lukie rods in my back; my scolosis is noticible but does not really affect my breathing/shape. I do work full time though my manager is aware that I may have to go part-time or even out on leave early if I get too weak. , did we exchange e-mails a while ago? My only advice right now is take care of yourself, eat a lot and try not to worry. I was hurting much sooner with my second pregnancy - I got big fast! Guest guest
Amy, I am not sure if we talked through e-mail's or not but it is possible. I mostly frequent the fsma board but then a friend reminded me that more adults are on this board so I thought I'd post again here Thanks for your help! I'll make sure I eat healthy ps. I'm trying to change my profile to reflect my information rather than my hubby's but I can't figure out how yet! > > > In a message dated 10/30/2006 9:09:33 PM Eastern Standard Time, > dvlwksp@... writes: > > I am a little nervous about the whole process but I know it will be > worth it in the end.
