Guest guest
Just thought I'd share, in case my experience is helpful to anybody at any point... For years I've attributed lots of things to SMA. I'm tired a lot. I get cold easily. I can't lose weight. I just figured those and other things were loosely related to SMA and didn't give them much thought. Until I found out about a month ago that I have an underactive thyroid--hypothyroidism. I've been taking a pill to regulate it, and I'm definitely seeing changes lately. I have more energy than ever. I'm hungry all the time, so my metabolism is definitely speeding up. It's hard to say about the cold thing, since the weather's been so warm lately. But wow, who knew these things were actually fixable? No doctor had ever suggested testing my thyroid before, I only did it because of a friend's recommendation. Crazy! I don't know if that might relate to anybody else now or in the future, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to share. -e
