Guest guest
I just got the mental image of Jesus riding around on a dinosaur! Specifically, a velociraptor. LOL!! http://critters.pixel-shack.com/WebImages/crittersgallery/Velociraptor.jpg If God created the Earth, human beings and all species too, in only 7 days, then, by definition, humans and velociraptors would exist at the same time. Something that radio-carbon dating of dinosaur fossils.and radio-carbon dating of the oldest known fossils of humans easily proves to be impossible. Dinosaur bones are hundreds of millions of years older than the oldest fossils of humans.and the various ape-man missing link species. There, I've disproved the 7 day thesis in three sentences. 4 sentences if you count the joke about Jesus riding a raptor, which still has me in tears laughing. lol This doesn't disprove belief in creation or God. It shouldn't be seen as a threat to any faiths. All the Catholic priests and rabbis that have taught me at college over the years believe evolution, the big-bang, etc. is God's work. They aren't athiests, they've devoted their lives to God. They know the creation stories (there are several conflicting creation stories in the Bible) are allegorical. Metaphor. Father Viscardi, S.J., who teaches theology at Spring Hill College, taught me about the allegories of the Bible, conflicting creation stories in the Bible, and told me " Adam " in ancient Hebrew can translate as " man, " and thus is a play on words. Fr. Viscardi also assigned us to write a paper on the differences and similiarities in the Bible's creation stories and similarities to Mesopotamian and Zoasterian creation stories. I've learned tons from the priests. Nick
