To Those Intertested In This Matter,

Factually, the two mercury compounds are

a) dimethylmercury in the article and,

in vaccines,

B) Thimerosal (ethylmecurithiosalicylate),

which are very different compounds.

Moreover, the mercury-containing Thimerosal

hydrolysis product that forms in aqueous

environments is ethylmecurihydroxide, which

is still very different from dimethylmercury

in many respects.

The compound " ethylmercury " would, like

" methylmercury, " actually be diethylmercury

(C4H10Hg, H5C2-Hg-C2H5 or H3C-H2C-Hg-CH2-CH3)

but this compound, diethylmercury, is not

used in the manufacture of any vaccine.

[structurally, dimethylmercury, the cited

article's " methylmercury " is, as stated,

C2H6Hg (CH3-Hg-CH3 or H3C-Hg-CH3). However,

the " methylmercury " in fish is mostly

H3C-Hg-R where R is mainly some sulfur-

containing amino acid (usually cysteine).

Furthermore, the " methylmercury " compound

used in many animal studies is methylmercuri-

hydroxide (H3C-Hg-OH).]

Dimethylmercury is a colorless, volatile,

toxic liquid, which easily ignites in the

presence of a spark, and is soluble in

ether and ethanol, but is not soluble

(insoluble) in water.

Thimerosal is a toxic, cream-colored,

crystalline powder (solid), which is stable

in air at room temperature but decomposes in

sunlight, and is insoluble in ether, but

soluble in ethanol and very soluble in in

water.

In the human body, both are highly toxic

systemic poisons that should NOT be added to

any drug product or used in any drug-product

manufacturing process UNLESS, at the level

present, appropriate toxicity studies are

performed and, with a safety margin of at

least 1000, found not to be toxic to those

who may susceptible to mercury poisoning.

[Note: Under this safety standard, considering

the literature in vivo studies that have

established toxicity at levels below 0.00001%,

dilution in a " 2 kg " baby's body and a 0.25-mL

dose, the safe level of Thimerosal in a vaccine

for infants would be on the order of 0.0001%

as compared to the current " allowed " (without

proof of safety) level of up to 0.01%.]

Hopefully, this information should set the

record straight in this matter.

Respectfully,

Dr. King
