Managed to breach C-SPAN's screener to talk to Lamb this morning around 7:10. had just read a quote from Sen. Frist in WSJ that stated Frist "is going to make ethics and transparency" a major goal this year in Senate. I used Frist's "stealth" inclusion of "vaccine liability protection" as a prime example of where Frist can begin restoring "ethics and transparency" to the Senate. I may be paranoid but I thought actually recoiled when I mentioned vaccines. In any event, he quickly asked me to identify some other areas where the Republican Party has disappointed me, a task I could have spoken about for at least another ten minutes. I didn't want to appear a "one issue caller" so I quickly mentioned their out-of-control spending and open border policies.

Imus was very disappointing today in his comments disparaging any connection between autism and thimerosal in vaccines. It is one thing to try and protect himself from potential career threatening retribution by the powerful pharma bullies by declaring there is "no positive evidence proving any link between autism and thimerosal"..... but,..... it is quite another when he deliberately characterizes those who have ample reasons to believe otherwise as "wackoes or crazies". There was no need for him to label me as a "crazy or wacko" for believing my grandson's autism was caused by his exposure to thimerosal in vaccines.

After all, the "scientific community" has had at least four decades to "prove beyond any doubt" that thimerosal is not a risk to a child's health. They haven't done so because they can't, otherwise the scientific community would not have to rely upon the ambiguous statement there is "no evidence of a link". That is "sophistry", not "science".
