Guest guest
Wow- the mercury in my fillings must be really kicking in, because not only do I remember Wakefield reading this- but I remember seeing it on my own video. Please someone tell me if i'm wrong. thanks in advance- photographer/webmaster of autismrally.com christine@... ps- I know of Deer and his opinions of Wakefield already. --------- Dear , I believe that you maintain the webpage at: http://www.autismrally.com/july20d.html I write to inform you that the information concerning Dr Wakefield is incorrect and defamatory, and would politely suggest that it should be corrected, in the interests of parents not being misinformed. The rally is described as concerning " the power of truth " , and yet a rather important untruth is contained in the references to Dr Wakefield. Captions claim that Dr Wakefield read a " letter of retraction " from The Sunday Times. No such retraction, or any correction, apology or similar has been made by the newspaper, which stands firmly behind allegations first published in February 2004. If Dr Wakefield claimed to have been reading any such retraction, I am sure that, should you contact him, he will wish to make the position clear to you. Furthermore, this matter has been considered in the High Court in London, where Dr Wakefield was criticised by the judge for his conduct over his defence of allegations of serious professional misconduct. You may find a copy of the judgment at: http://briandeer.com/wakefield/eady-judgment.htm Since I operate a website myself, I realise that correcting pages can be a tedious process, but, as I say, I'm sure that you will only wish true information to be included in your coverage of the Power of Truth rally. With best wishes personally, Yours sincerely, Deer
Guest guest
A member of Chelating Kids2 listens to Dr. Wakefield read a letter of retraction from the " Sunday Times " . oh ok- the problem was I wrote the wrong paper. Thanks Bob, once again for your help. I don't know where I got the Sunday Times from- I don't even remember putting the website together at this point- I did it right after coming home and it took my hours and hours- so I was probably tired and not thinking too clearly. i'm going to change the name and leave the rest of my comments. thanks Bob-
