Guest guest
I am a mother of two special needs children. I have a vaccine injured 5 yr old son with autism, and a 6 yr old son with extreme ADHD. I took my older son to a developmental optrician for a visial perception screening. I picked up a brochure on Attention Deficits produced by the Optometric Extension Program (www.oep.org) out of California. The last paragraph reads " BIOLOGICAL & NUTRITIONAL THERAPY for food and chemical sensitivities and metal toxicity have also been shown to eliminate many symptoms of ADHD. Since biological problems can cause secondary visual symptoms, heavy metal detoxification is one of the most important treatments someone with an ADHD diagnosis should consider. " My question: I am already going through all the biomedical treatments with my younger son, including chelation. Has anyone tried chelating for ADHD? I was absolutely shocked to see this in print, as everyone here in FL looks at you like you're crazy to mention chelation (except Dr. Bradstreet's office of course). Please let me know if any of you have experience dealing with this. I have enjoyed learning more and checking your site daily. Thank you for the additional information. ~Lora
