Ummm...... How can you curse at someone and then tell that same person to be

respectful of others? I don't mean to stick my little nose where it doesn't

belong, but Kendra has been on this list for a LONG time. She has offered me

hope, support and advice when I needed it to better care for my daughter. She

and I may not have always agreed on everything, but NEVER has she cursed at

anyone nor has she stooped to name calling.

You keep mentioning that we're unfriendly and how much you don't need this

drama. If you really don't like this list or the people on it maybe you should

leave rather than change a group that has been in place (and doing very well)

for years.

I'm hoping that you can rethink your own attitude and stay with us. I'm sure

you'd be a great source of knowledge and information for those of us who have

children following in your tire tracks!

You keep attacking me for being insensitive to what happened to you and

others agree with you. Well, if you go back to the very first post, I was

complementing you and trying to put a positive spin on this. Yet, when

people kept posting messages of how traumatic this must have been, they were

just adding to your stress, and that is why I wrote about my experience, and

how I handle them, hoping to somehow lighted the mood up and help you get

less stressed. You said I disregarded your experience. You disregarded

mine. I was afraid being lifted, I was afraid for my safety. So where was

your compassion for my experience? Maybe I didn't deserve any because I was

able to laugh at it instead of letting it traumatize me, as you supposedly

were?

And I re-read your original post of your bus ordeal. You had a female

companion with you. Where the hell was she when you were being traumatized?

Did you bitch her out for not helping like you did me? Why didn't she get

off the bus, while you were waiting, and call 911? Why didn't she help you

fight when you didn't want to get off the bus? You act like such a

smart-ass on here, with attitude and all these bullshit post of your rights

being violated, yet on the bus, you, yourself, wrote that you said " no " and

" I don't like this! " ??? Get your story straight, because at this point, I

think you are really trying to milk this group for sympathy and that is

plain childish.

Everyone here agrees that they should have listened to you, INCLUDING ME.

Unfortunately, I, at this point, pity you. You emailed this group about

your bus ordeal. You got so much sympathy and support from everyone,

INCLUDING ME. So go back and read my message to you. There was nothing

mean or condescending in it.

This whole topic got out of hand, people comparing it to " Rape, " saying how

traumatic it must have been for you, and that's where I realized what you

were doing. Everyone assumed that the trauma was the fear for your safety,

and yes, that can be traumatic for disabled people like us. I posted my

story of being lifted into my new house and falling off the bed to lighten

the mood up in this group and to offer some type of help. Sometimes, using

humor is better than blowing things out of proportion.

Yet, you then replied that you are not afraid of being carried in your

chair, but that they did it without your permission. So the actual problem

you are having is with your inflated EGO that got bruised. These people

didn't want you to be stuck on the bus all day and felt competent enough to

carry you down, and you felt traumatized? Oh Please! You keep

contradicting yourself. Get your damn story straight.

Yeah, they didn't listen to you, but sometimes people without wheelchairs

aren't listen to either, but they don't bitch and file formal complains to

the extend that you do. Grow up! Your ego got bruised and you can't handle

it, especially since you keep crying over it. You need counseling, but not

for trauma, but for a screwed up and inflated ego. I never insulted you.

You bit my head off, and I told you to drop it, but you wouldn't. Don't

play these games with me girl, because you have no idea what you are up

against, so take my advice, DROP IT. This was supposedly a group for

friendships and supporting each other. You started this shit, and I am

ending it. I don't need this stupid drama in my life from someone I never

even met.

If you are mature enough, then you will drop this, and then I will too. I

don't want hurt feelings, in anyone, we have too much pain in our lives

already. I don't want to be enemies. We may never be friends. But we can

be mature and civil. Your choice here, Hun!

Ps - If this is how you react to similar situations, stay off the damn

buses. You want to fight for your rights, go right ahead, and I hope you

get a satisfactory solution. But if you want respect, be respectful of

others!

Actually, if you re-read my messages I never once said I was on the

lift when it broke. You just assumed this in your previous post. Just

to clarify, I was safe on the bus and then they put me onto a broken

lift that was not connected to the coach floor without my permission.

I'm sorry you cannot validate my emotions of upset from this

experience and I don't need you to do so for any sake, but I feel that

your tone is not a friendly one and is unnecessary solely because we

disagree. Beyond not having anything nice to say and not saying

anything at all, that saying applies to not being able to say anything

in a nice manner as well.

Well, my thinking is that to have a different take and style is a welcomed

change. I would hate to think that we all will just pan out and become

predictable and repeative because that would be boring, snooze!

To me words will always fail us when it cannot be backed up with a voice. So

the odd curse word is simply a refleciton of ones frustration or bewilderment

or anger.

For your sake, Jeni, I would think h will find her own tracks regardless

of what any of us say/type.

I hope this group never settles down .... it could be perceived as death.
