Guest guest
hi folks, i'm going in tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. to have a very large kidney stone removed. i'm eager to have this era of illness be transitioning into a long phase of good health without i.v. meds and constant worry. funny, all the conversation about bathrooming difficulties...a friend once said that the thing that truly separates people with disabilities is not our diagnoses, but the ability to pee by one's self. this stone is the result of restricting fluids. i appreciated the adult " diaper " option, though, allowed my pride to keep me from using it until the damage was done. now i have no regrets about having a supra pubic catheter placed last summer - i pee at will and don't need midday attendants. i'll be back in a week - am unsubscribing. one of my list friends will keep you posted. cheers! alana Alana Theriault - SMA II, Age 37 Berkeley, CA - USA alrt@...
