Guest guest
I back up against my bathroom sink, a sink for the disabled. It's long in the front and molded so you could lay your head in it. I use a shampoo tray, an apron, and a bath towel. I also have a hose connected to the faucet. My hair is very oily and is washed constantly. Guest guest
I back up to kitchen sink with a sprayer. I have a plastic cloth draped around my shoulders, and then a bath towel over that, with a clip holding them tight at the front. Then my dad holds a Rubbermaid wash pan thing under my neck and my hair goes down into it. My mom does the scrubbing and spraying. Occasionally, my shirt will get wet down the back, but when mom dries my hair, she just uses the hair dryer on my shirt too. Guest guest
Hi , First I put a throw rug or towel on the floor; then an empty basin on a folding chair next to my wheelchair. I remove my left armrest and loosen my seatbelt just enough, and tie a hand towel sideways around my neck so the knot is on my right shoulder. Then I tie a tall kitchen trash bag over the towel, again, so the knot is on my right shoulder - a sideways superhero cape. I make sure the bag is upside-down so it doesn't fill with water. I have a second basin filled will water on a table or the bed. I lean to my left over the empty basin, prop a small pillow behind me, and have my assistant use a big plastic mug to pour water over my hair. It takes about 15 minutes to wash and rinse twice...less time when my hair is short. To save time and water I use a shampoo that's 2-in-1 with conditioner. I hope this is helpful to you as you figure out another way to do your hair. Alana
