Guest guest
I am in the process of getting one right now. All that was needed was a prescription from my primary care physician. They're dealing straight with the company we're ordering it from and the company has only called me to get insurance information and some background information regarding my health. No tests were actually performed. ~Kendra
Guest guest
hi everyone, i got the cough assist to test it but this was almost 1 1/2 year ago and ever since the machine is at my home. they didn´t pick it up. unfortunately ever since i´m fighting (writing appeals etc.) with my insurance to get payment for it. would be happy only to have the pulmonary function test. *ggg* and i can tell u i never got really sick again. nothing worse then a cold. ain´t it good but it doesnt count for them. even improved my lung volume. all of this is just accidental....... cya, melanie germany -- +++ GMX - die erste Adresse für Mail, Message, More +++ Neu: Preissenkung für MMS und FreeMMS! http://www.gmx.net
Guest guest
Hi Doug - Sorry you've been under the weather. Get a prescription from your doctor for this. My general practitioner usually handles such things, but if you have a pulmonologist that might be better. Are you on Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance? You can rent the cough assist from a local medical equipment vendor depend on who your insurance contracts with. Your doctor's office should know. Guest guest
Doug- I just got a script from my daughter's Pulmonologist, Dr. Schroth of UW Madison, WI Children's Hospital. I'm not sure if you've heard of her but SMA is her specialty. Last year was her first year at the National FSMA conf (first year speaking that is). I know she can usually make some phone calls if your Pulmo doc doesn't want to write the script. I'm not sure what you have for insurance. We have MI medicaid for Jerika and it wasn't a problem.
