Guest guest
Hey , I just watched and Offit on your autismmedia.org site. Thanks so much for putting it together. I never even heard of the network CN8 before- and I watch a lot of freggin tv. I also emailed you tonight three new quicktime clips from the DC rally last month. I spent 10 days driving back and forth to Minnesota from NY and haven't had time to edit new clips recently. We just got home saturday night. I still want to put a segment together of the group walking and chanting infront of the HHS building. It was such an amazing moment. I'll keep emailing you clips as I get them done. I also have Autism One footage from 2003 to go thru... but that will have to wait until I get my final video projects done. ---- I hope everyone has a chance to donate to the Autism Media site- even if it's just a few dollars. Everything with that website takes a lot of time, money, and labor- and I think we should all try to chip in. has really put together some incredible clips- and this is just the beginning. on a side note: when in the middle of Nowhere, Minnesota (aka Park Rapids) I met a mom of a girl with autism in the local Burger King. She was there with her nephews and so happy to talk with another mom. And ironically, about an hour before, i met, in a coffee shop, a grandmother of a boy with Aspergers who lives in Florida. Then, the next day we drove up to Bejimi, which was an hour away and while in Target, I went up to a teenager to ask him about videogames and I could tell he had aspergers. (but of course there is NO epidemic) also- I read about 150 pages of EOH while my husband drove thru the mountains of Penn. I found a new appreciation for the book and the people in it. My son, who was in the back seat with crayons and magic markers (washable of course) drew all over his window in the back seat. I was so inspired by him and the book that I grabbed a crayon and wrote on the other window " ask for the mercury-free flu shot please! " and wrote " no thimerosal " on his window and " nomercury.org " on the back. I got the idea from a softball team from Long Island we met at the hotel in Ohio. They wrote team stuff all over their windows- it was cute. Then when I saw how easy it was to clean my son's washable crayons from the window I thought- what the heck! in NY who should be sleeping
