Guest guest
Gwen, do you mean your finger is cramping/hurting? Maybe soak it in real hot water, or keep hot compresses on it while resting. Hot helps my muscles, but cold helps my nerves. LOL Gretchen

Guest guest
If I'm not mistaken, I think I know what you are referring to. I have, in the past, had experience where my fore or index finger would tighten and cramp as if to curl toward the palm. It's been a little while, and I do believe that improved eating habits and a little more rest helps. Guest guest
Pepperbrammer, I also think I know what you are talking about. I have had this problem with both hands. I have knots on all my tendons so that my fingers can trigger. My right hand is now ok- we did hypnotherapy on it. So now I need to do this with my left hand. I went to Occupational Therapy and they made me splints to wear on my hands at night. They also made me other splints to wear during the day and this helps alot. The splints usually keep me from triggering and allow my hands to heal. I am not to push or pull anything because this causes my fingers to trigger. I have very little muscles left in my hand now. The triggering really hurts and heat does help. Sometimes I use warm water to relieve it and other times I use a microwable " Bed Buddy " that can wrap around my hands. My CMT doc said do not have surgery because it can never be corrected. You might want to consider seeing an OT (Occupational therapist). Best wishes- keep you chin up. You are not alone. Gretchen ,my finger curls up and I have to open it with the other hand.It hurts mostly at night. The dr.suggested surgery until the nerve tests came back then no no .I bought a finger brace today for night time.We will see. Thanks for your concern.I have never had much of it about this.No one GETS it. Guest guest
Hi , I wanted to let you know. Today I spoke to the GI doctor and all the brushings and biopsies that were taken last week came back negative. That is good to hear. He told me he has never seen anyone react the way I do to the ERCP, wonder if I need to tell him, it wasn't me. I told I don't believe I have ever been as ill as I was on Friday, and his answer was really that bad. He would have known if he had come to the hospital, he never showed up the entire time I was there. Anyway he confused me, he said he wouldn't put in another stent. The bile duct is open enough. I said then it is no longer dilated and the scar tissue is gone. He said no the problems are there but I think it is open enough. I told him that I don't feel well at all. Told me to call him on Monday and he will want to see me, and possible make arrangements to go to a doctor at the U. of P.. Tomorrow I see the primary and I think it is a better idea to let him make any arrangements. My son now feels the best thing to do is to go to the U. of P.. He works with a woman whose husband has similuar problems and she feels that is the best place. I am just angry with the GI guy. I think he thinks last week was a picnic or something. I will definetly have answers tomorrow. I hope to get to see the new doctor next week. I have had to drop my Literature Class. I knew if I misses one more class he would withdraw me, so I did it first. My other classes are safe the teachers are working with me. My friend also withdrew, she hated the teacher. I'm okay with it actually I think I feel good because a lot of pressure is off. Let you know how tomorrow goes.
