Debs,

Too many platelets (thrombocytosis) can cause bruising, bleeding, or sometimes

excessive clotting so this is probably what is going on with your knee. That's

probably why the doctor wanted you on bed rest young lady!!! I hope you do

NOTHING this weekend except watch your daughter's confirmation. Other than that

please rest as much as you can. will be happy that you are there to see

the ceremony. I hope others will take care of the confirmation party. You need

rest my friend.

I hope you get your results soon.

hugs,

[ ] Still Hemorrhaging

Hi Guys,

Will keep this short. My knee is still hemorrhaging as late as today. I

went to the hair salon (my youngest is being confirmed on Sunday) and I

was getting ready to leave, I got up from a chair and once again, the blood

just started spurting out all over the salon. I was so embarrassed! They

got me to a chair and called an ambulance. I refused to go in the ambulance,

Ron left work and took me to the doctor for still more surgery to stop the

bleeding and then home. After dinner, Ron and Vickie had to return to the

hair salon to pick up the other van. What an ordeal!

I refuse to call the doctor or see an ER anytime this weekend no matter what

happens. I will not ruin my daughter's weekend. Something tells me that

this could have something to do with the platelet count. The hematologist

tests that he ordered take quite some time to get back, so hopefully next

week I should know something.

I will probably be reading this weekend, but doubt that I post much. I am

very weak and tired and am trying to save all my strength for and her

party.

Love to all.

Gentle, tender, angel hugs

I am so sorry to hear that you are havings such problems and hope things

clear up soon for you.

But if seeing a doc might help, I'm sure your family would want you to do

that, don't be too steadfast in that decision. I know we get tired of the

disapointments this life sometimes deals us but we often need to give in and

do what we need to do no matter what. You know your family wants the best for

you, which in turn gets them the best OF you.

You are in my prayers

Hi Debs,

Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with the bleeding. This

sounds pretty alarming to me. I think that you should really call the dr.

and demand some results. It could be because of the platelet count. I know

that the surgeons advised me before my back surgery last week that this could

happen because of the meds that I have been taking and not to take any anti

inflammatories or aspirin for at least a week before the surgery. With the

blood loss that you are experiencing, you could become anemic and that could

make everything more complicated. Please, don't feel that you are

inconveniencing anyone or making a fuss if you need help, you didn't ask for

this problem, but it sounds like something that needs attention.

Love and Hugs

Hi Debs,

I haven't been able to get on the computer wasn't acting right. I think

Laurie fixed it though. I sent a message through to the group but I don't

think it went through. I hope you are resting, I am worried about you. I

can understand you not wanting to go to the ER but please be careful. Just

sit back and do nothing. You are in my prayers. Enjoy tomorrow but please

rest Lynn (MeMom)
