ive never even been on a log flume :-( I always wanted to but think once you

have spinal rods its kinda unsafe in case they get jolted, i also as a little

girl nearly slid right out of a kiddies ride which ranks up there as a most

embarising moment having to have the ride stopped so i could be shoved back into

an upright position - it was only on the ladybirds going round and round

darnit!!..lol

I know able ppl who get whip lash and need a neck brace from roller coasters.

I'd go on the tame ones then. But then why bother lol?

I think a roller coaster is different then a quick fall out of a chair. It's

a minutes or two of spinning and bumping around at high speeds. Also if your

limps are weak they might flap around or get pulled by the force of speed. It

depends on your strength and how flexible you are. Plus you need to sit on

those hard seats.

You could try calling Disney or Six Flags (or whatever) to see what roller

coasters have the best support.

My folks took me on lots of rides, including some coasters, as a kid,

but they lied through their teeth to do it. " Sure she has great upper

body and neck control! " I don't think I have rode anything

post-spinal-fusion though. The plastic seats are just too hard for my

sensitive bumm. Not to mention, Cedar Point, where my family usually

goes, is very restrictive on rides they let people with disabilities

go on. You have to get a special " pass " before they let you on

anything, even the Paddleboat. Now we just send the kids off with

their Grandma & Grandpa to the annual Cedar Point family reunion, and

Lee and I stay home and " amuse " ourselves. ;)

how safe you feel they are for us w/ limited strength? Ive gone on

most all types of rides, but have yet to go on a roller coaster, for

fear id fall out or get really banged around. the park of course

doesnt really know how safe it is for me, although each ride is tested

w/ human sz/weight sand bags--which is more dead weight then us. id

just really love to be able to ride a roller coaster one day!

Hi everyone

I've been on rides but I won't go anymore unless it's something tame.

I started having trouble breathing on those wild rides because they go so

fast, that the wind would go up my nose so fast that I couldn't catch my

breath. I also have trouble holding my neck up and keeping my body in the

ride.

Too scary for me.
