Maybe I was just raised differently than ya all, but my disability really wasn't a factor. I was and still am a person to everyone who knows me. Nothing " crippled " about me, leastly the way I make looove.

I do the same with my auburn hair and brown eyes or being german polish etc... but we were not talking about that stuff :)I have sayings for all those things too! Hell, I didn't know I had SMA till I was 18. We never talked about me being disabled growing up. I felt *normal* and did normal things with *normal* kids. I had little contact with other disabled. You notice I don't use or like cripple. It has too much negative force behind it. But I find that many don't know what to make of " gimp " most just laugh and many seem to admire that I can embrace being disabled. My best friend who is able saw my gimp goddess sticker laughed and said that's her (she has carple tunnal sp?)

People who use it aren't less intelligent; it's just part of their culture and in most cases, it's what they've grown up listening to. I'm not black but I do use Ebonics on occasion. I swear Amy, in the years that I've known you, I don't think I've ever heard you say one nice thing about anyone (well, except about yourself). You've put down people on this list numerous times and it goes to show how intolerant you are of other people and cultures. If someone doesn't agree with you, they're " idiots and less intelligent " and if they do things you don't approve of, they're being " ridiculous, pathetic and nasty " (which I found funny coming from someone who posted what I thought to be very distasteful pics of herself on this list... not one, but twice). You don't post these comments as if they're your opinions but as if they're fact. I took your above comments personally. I may speak Ebonics but I also speak English, Arabic, and some Spanish but according to you, I'm less intelligent... than whom? You?? Please!! I don't know what kind of success you're looking for but I've been on the Dean's list every semester since I've started college despite the Ebonics. I also understand that there's a time and place to use it. I know writing a college essay in Ebonics wouldn't be acceptable, just like writing it in Spanish wouldn't be. You act like you're better than everyone else with the comments you make. Hate to break it to you, sweetie, but you're not so get over yourself. You know very few things about me and how I go about my life. As everyone else on this list, I have a right to an opinion. Must I start EVERY statement with " in my opinion " because you dislike most of what I say? Whether or not you found my pictures distasteful, I couldn't care less. I put a warning that they were adult oriented, who the hell forced you to look? Your comment about me not saying anything nice is lame and juvenile. Anyway, you're entitled to your opinions.
