Guest guest
yes, i have this problem, but have only had it about a yr. it doesnt bother me too much. i notice i get most bloated after eating, especially bread, so im guessing it could be a wheat allergy, but wheat is in nearly everything (salad dressing, ice cream, breads, processed food, canned soups, etc etc), so i dont want to give up wheat. Ive done nothing for it so far as it doesnt bother me enough. Bud8kelley@... wrote: Hi everyone! I have a quick question. s stomach is real bloated. He has alot of gas. He does not complain about it. Guest guest
Bread is very filling & will bloat anybody. It absorbs fluid and lack of a better term is like eating a sponge. Who says a wheat allergy causes bloating? Take Care, Cody Namesnik codemann@... Guest guest
bloating/gas after meals is a symptom of wheat allergy, along w/ cramping, and exima (sp) which i dont have, but not everybody has all symptoms. ive been researching this. if you are allergic to wheat, and continue to have a diet w/ wheat, it irritates the colon/somach and increases your risk for getting cancer in those areas by 2 times. Im not sure if there is a test for wheat allergy like other allergies. i think you just have to eliminate all wheat first to see if it is a help. wheat allergy has also been linked to hyperactivity in children that are allergic. i never used to get this bloated from bread. Guest guest
Thanks everyone! He doesnt complain of cramping or anything. He just has a tight tummy and it sounds like a hollow drum. Im sure he may feel bloated at times. I may try the gasx or something and see what that does. Thanks again! Guest guest
I get bloated if I lay down too soon after eating, or if I eat laying down because I cannot burp in that position. Plus, due to the SMA related difficulties that I have eating, I swallow a lot of air which gets trapped in my tummy. Vicki

I figure he may swallow alot of air or something....? Guest guest
Not enough that you notice. I drink out of a 2ft straw. There's something I didn't mention, If he has scoliosis and it pushes his stomach to the side. His stomach will appear bloated or tight. Just as reference, I got so constipated on one occasion, my stomach bloated so much that I looked pregnant! The ER doctors thought something was seriously wrong. But it passed. After being manually cleaned out. And also, was severally constipated that it was causing pressure on my bladder that I couldn't urinate and required a catheter & bowel clean out to relieve me.. Its not fun. So, please by mindful that constipation can cause bloating & nausea if your not emptying your bowels. Take Care, Cody Namesnik codemann@...
