Guest guest
Hello All, You all may know this already about Offit, too bad that Reagan didn't ask, but when speaking as an expert, an MD is supposed to disclose if he/she a consultant for a pharmaceutical company. See below all the links I found about Dr. Offit and Merck with one quick google search. " At our April 6 autism hearing, Dr. Offit disclosed that he holds a patent on a rotavirus vaccine and receives grant money from Merck to develop this vaccine. He also disclosed that he is paid by the pharmaceutical industry to travel around the country and teach doctors that vaccines are safe. Dr. Offit is a member of the CDC's advisory committee and voted on three rotavirus issues – including making the recommendation of adding the rotavirus vaccine to the Vaccines for Children's program. " http://www.vaccinationnews.com/rally/openstmntconint.htm " Dr. Offit provides a perfect example of the collusion that exists between federal regulatory agencies and drug companies. While serving on the CDC's Advisory Council on Immunization Practices, Dr. Offit was co-patent holder with Merck on the rotavirus vaccine, receiving hundreds of millions of dollars from Merck for his " research " , book deal, and speaking tour. " http://www.oregonparentsunited.org/whats_new_naa_responds_to_cbs.htm " Dr. Offit lists that he is a consultant to Merck on an attachment to his OGE 450, but does not disclose whether or not he received any remuneration for his services " http://www.whale.to/v/offit1.html. Oh, how I wish Ron Reagan or someone had mentioned this.
