Check out the ADA website - that's the party line & woe unto the

dentist who breaks the code.

Our current dentist is troubled by reports he's hearing (including

from a m.d. who rush into the office one day & demanded that all

amalgam be removed immediately), but keeps saying that the ADA

doesn't agree. However, he's troubled enough that he urges patients

not to use amalgam on the grounds that it involves more tooth trauma

and, of course, doesn't look as good. He has also studied safe

removal of amalgam and will accomodate anyone who requests it.

There are openly merc-free dentists and closet merc-free dentists

all over the country. If you post this request to some of the

autism biomedical groups, you can get help with finding a safe

dentist who doesn't insult your intelligence and call you names

while endangering your health.
