Pam wife to (17 years) mother to , 10, Hannah, 7, Rebekah, 4, and Leah, 2 Unbelievable!!!!! I cannot believe the latest results. Now sara 5 and Casey 3 1/2 both have CVID severe protein intollerance,IVIG every 21 days and so on. Our 11 month old was just tested and it looks like she has it too!!!! I know they are very interested in finding the gene that causes this and they are more likely to find it when it is passed down in a family. I don't have the contact information, but someone at IDF would have that and could direct you to the right research people. It's very unusual to have hereditary CVID, researchers believe that it happens most commonly randomly -- however, I personally feel that many CVID kids have parents with autoimmune issues and that makes it somehow hereditary..... we just don't know enough. It would be really neat if you and your family could aid in that research. I'm parenting one healthy kid and one CVID'er and I almost wonder if it wouldn't be easier to have both kids equally sick -- but 3???????? Yikes! They've either always done it that way, It was a cheaper or more expedient method of manufacture(Basicly the bottom line), It allows for long shelf life by killing bacteria (Now if it kills single cell organisms, why not kill or damage single cells in a multi- cellular organism). The entire reason for everything we're up against is business based.. Just injecting the attenuated bacteria or virus doesn't cause an antibody response in most people, so the manufacturers add alumninum or other adjuvent (sp?). Scobies for poultices, draw out toxins applied with a tiny drop of honey or salive, to provide the enzymes needed.I love Margaret's Margarita glass sized scobies! I am searching for margarita glasses! They are a vanishing sort, them being so delicate! Make the perfect Scoby Boobies! Power to the Scobies!!! Within 20 minutes, it had become unnoticable as far as the edges to my skin. Stayed on all night, and to my surprise, was 'meshed' with my skin this morning. The redness and swelling around the edge of the sore was greatly reduced. I am putting KT on it with a cottonball to loosen where it has attached, as i am too self conscious to go out with it. I am amazed, pleased, and well, just dumbfounded at the ability of these bact mats. Soooo, if your skeptical, give it a try.
