Guest guest
Well , says nothing here to see - move on people. It was actually a " balance " of speakers until they brought in the good ABC Doc at the end to tell us it is a bunch of garbage. He also added the old canard that we are " anti-vaccine " . Should have known it would turn out this way. Sharon in Baton Rouge

Guest guest
Honestly, do not know how these medical people who refuse to look at this in any serious way can live with themselves. Did they forget why they became docs? (well I'm assuming it was " money " but, I'm beginning to think as I stated earlier it is always about the money.) Guest guest
- I was actually expecting this.......I knew that when ABC postponed it earlier it was only to get enough bull*!#t from the powers that be to portray the other side as the champions. I wonder if people are really beginning to see that everytime this comes up, they are told the exact same old thing. I really believe that if they keep spewing out the same ole same ol, we have a better chance.......... Our " anecdotal evidence " as Montel and RFK Jr. say, is overwhelming - people just need to be informed. KEEP INFORMING!!! Guest guest
ABC SUCKS. How dare they. How dare they paint RFK as a nut and our cause as anti-vaccine when we've said over and over and over and over again we are not anti-vaccine we are anti-mercury. A-HOLES. I hope the CDC is reading this. And you can label me as hysterical because it's those kinds of sick and twisted reports that could make one LOSE it. The CDC and IOM are " impeccable " ???? HAHAHA. I laughed so hard I almost fell over. Well, JFK, used to be just parents that = dunce according to the media. Now it's lawyers, too. Welcome to the club. Guest guest
Did anyone else count the Pharma ads run throughout the program? Until ABC can wean itself from them, they'll be as " impeccably impartial " as Dr. TJ claims the IOM is. More later... Max
Guest guest
Two points: Tim is a mere doctor. How does that qualify him to determine whether a quote was " taken out of context. " I would bet that he has been talking to Dr. Fineberg, Director of the IOM, and simply repeating Dr. Fineberg's claims in defense of the IOM. Secondly, is right--1 quote does not negate the article. In fact, there is a very strong argument that the quote was not taken out of context. What we are talking about is the closed door meeting, a transcript of which was released several months ago. You can get a copy of that transcript at www.nomercury.org Mr. Kennedy took several quotes from that transcript, some much more damaging to the IOM and CDC than the one by Dr. McCormick, to which Dr. was referring. If you consider the context of the entire meeting, as reflected in the transcript, RFK Jr.'s interpretation of the Dr. McCormick quote is entirely defensible. Perhaps it takes a lawyer (RFKJr.) and not a doctor (Tim , Dr. Fineberg) to understand the significance of the quote. This was not journalism by ABC--this was a very biased editorial--also known as a hatchet job. Guest guest
Although I am certain ABC considers tonight's broadcast news, it can be more accurately characterized as a rather lengthy public service announcement reassuring the American public that vaccines are safe. I suggest ABC news try giving the information to the American people and letting them decide for themselves. ____________ > > > > > > Well , says nothing here to see - move on people. Guest guest
I just had to post what my Mommy wrote to ABC: " I can't believe you had the gall to air that piece on autism. Grandfatherly doctor, false information, and a lack of an opposing viewpoint ala Kennedy. And you had the nerve to look down your nose at his activism in preservation of the earth that you Godless jerks don't deserve! How can you call this mindless junk news? I pray that every editor involved in preparing this excuse for journalism will have a child or grandchild diagnosed with autism. Perhaps that will convince them that someone is lying to the American people. And then, it will be too late, just as it is for hundreds of thousands of children who have already been diagnosed with this terrible disorder. With great disgust and anger at ABC, I am, the grandmother of an autistic child " GO NANNA!!! __________________________________________________

Guest guest
The sad part is… I used to be a news producer… and if I was putting together the show (before my TWO children were diagnosed of course) – I would have held the Autism story and ran the fruit one. I hate myself for how I used to be. You know what changes it though – when it happens to you. When your child is diagnosed. I am still in touch with many people at the TV station where I worked. I know some of them think I’ve lost my mind when I tell them the vaccines did this to my kids – but if it were to happen to them, they would look at things differently, too. What a sad world we live in where some of us (me, before Autism) used to inform the public of things that just aren’t that important (like the stupid fruit labels story on World News Tonight) and forget the ones that are – like children being poisoning by mercury. Also, with the Supreme Court nominee story being the big deal today – I’m sure they “needed” the extra time to flesh that out… Pathetic. ABC World News ....That was weird. 20 minutes before the news came on - I saw a commercial for the Autism story. Than, nothing... Anyone know what the deal is? I can still remember a friend of mine telling me that someone else she knew had a child diagnosed with autism and they thought it was from the vaccinations, and me thinking " Well, autism is pretty rare and who knows if it is the vaccines.... and thank God my child is not reacting to his vaccines. " even while he was regressing before my eyes. How could I have been so stupid. Now I feel like I'm just waiting for enough kids to get sick or the " right " people's kids to get sick so that the truth will finally be accepted. Now I feel really sick about that.... :-( ~ Karin
Guest guest
> Hi : > Here, in Ontario, on Global News, they actually ran the autism treatment story directly prior to the fruity news item. I am glad they did...because what may be causing neurological problems in kids (and adults, for that matter, in the way of Alzheimer's) is way more important than whether some folks are upset by stickers on their fruit. Tattooing fruit may be a novelty but it is not really all that important, if one seriously considers what may happen to both children and adults, as a result of using thimerosal/ mercury-containing vaccines. Aasa How was it? Basically a recap of Good Morning America spot? There was a big promo for it here running prior stating " What every parent should know about Autism " . I was confised as to why it never ran when it was advertised as a feature. Sara
