Hi ! These are similar accessories that generally serve the same purpose but are slightly different. Tubing is more like a long and rubbery red vines licorice rope made of denser plastic/rubber material. Resistance bands are thin rubbery tape shaped strips, and stretchier. I'm guessing the stretchie bands from your LS workouts are resistance bands. Both have their places, but I prefer the tubing because it's stronger and you can cinch them in plastic handles and are easier to hold that way. They are often sold in packs of three that have different elasticity/resistance. Both are great for traveling and can be used to strengthen just about any muscle group. Hope this helps!
