Hi !

My highest weight was 264.5 lbs during my pregnancy. Shamefully, I was 250

lbs when I got pregnant so only 14.5 lbs was baby weight. I gave birth to

my son via c-section May 9th. When I got home fromt he hospital I was 255

lbs. Through dieting alone, I was able to get down to 240 lbs by the end of

June. I joined the gym the end of June and since June 2005 have gotten down

to 161.5 lbs. I do 20-30 minutes of cardio and weight training. I count

calories to keep me on track for not eating too much.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. :)

Sorry , I forgot to add that I mix my cardio up. I usually use the

treadmill or bike. I also love the elliptical machines. When I get a

chance, I also do Jazzercise or Step Aerobics. :)

You're very welcome . :) I've come a long way and it's been a hard

process. I keep taking things one day at a time and that's gotten me to

where I am now. :)

Was wondering everyone's opinion on variety of eating. I tend to eat most of the

same things every day. It's easier for me b/c I have to take most of my meals w/

me in the morning and I'm on a pretty tight budget. Could this be impeding my

progress? Just wondering if I should change up what I eat more.

That's good advice, Kim.

I'm starting to panic about the Summer.

I just need to focus one day at a time and the rest will take care of itself.

Thank you,

.

Hi ,

I know exactly how you feel. I made a promise to myself last summer that I

would be at my goal weight of 145 lbs or lower. I'm pushing really hard and

doing my best to stay on track everyday. It isn't always easy but I'm

hanging in there. My husband has been away on work for two weeks so it's

been tricky preparing meals and getting to the gym.

Keep posting here and I'm sure we'll all be hotties by the summer by

offering support, tips and advice.

Another line I like to repeat to myself is " Fail to plan and plan to fail "

:)

You are refreshing, Kim.

Thank you.

:)

Wow! You ladies are amazing. Thank you for the tips on keeping

focused, fail to plan or plan to fail, one of my fav terms.

I'll work on the weight training as I forgot about the flabby skin

part. You ladies are wonderful. Let's cause some car accidents in

the summer with our fab bods!

I also eat a lot of the same things every day just because those are

the things that work best for the goals I have. Occasionally

I'll " burn out " on a food, but mostly the burnout is on the way it is

prepared not the food itself. Like cottage cheese. I got tired of

eating it plain so now scoop and blend a third of a cup or so into my

Myoplex for an extra protein boost. I can go through two or three of

the larger size tubs a week and the cc is such great muscle food.

It really doesn't matter as long as your meals are balanced. Your

stomach really doesn't discriminate, and as long as it is BFL food

your muscles approve so don't sweat it. The longer you do BFL the more

food choices you will be able to make and widen your repertoire that

way. Hope this helps.

Kim, you are far too funny. I luv it -- " Let's cause some car accidents in

the summer with our fab bods! "

That actually happened to me once -- five years ago.

A good friend of mine set me up on a blind date with his largest customer.

We had a fabulous evening. While he was driving me back to my car, he was

looking at me and told me how beautiful I was (btw that was an exaggeration).

While he said that, he was looking directly at me. I got nervous and told him

to look straight because we were approaching a cab too fast.

Sure enough, we hit it.

He incurred $26,800 worth of damages.

We are good friends but he luvs to tell everyone that I was his most expensive

date.
