Studies suggest that people who do 30 minutes of morning cardio and then 30 minutes of evening cardio lose more fat than those doing just one 60 minute session.

Interesting. How many agree with this?

5 Fat Fighting Tips 1. Do not eat poor quality carbohydrates. Poor quality carbohydrates are those that contain sugar or are highly processed. These would include most breakfast cereals, breads, snack foods, candies, and even fruits and juices. Eating these foods, especially before bedtime, will likely result in increased fat deposit and will prevent your body from maintaining a successful fat-burning mode. 2. Increase your muscle mass! The more lean muscle you have, the more calories your body will burn even at rest. Muscle is extremely active metabolically. Do some

resistance training, add some muscle, and crank up that metabolism. 3. Never let yourself get too hungry, or too stuffed. It really is all about moderation. Time your meals so that you eat before you are starving . . . doing this one simple thing will cause you to almost always eat less. When you do eat, stop when your satisfied not when you are so stuffed you cannot even get down another bite. 4. Double up on your cardio training. From time to time it may be beneficial to the fat-burning process for you to split your cardio training into two short sessions rather than one longer one. Studies suggest that people who do 30 minutes of morning cardio and then 30 minutes of evening cardio lose more fat than those doing just one 60 minute session. 5. Eat more high fiber foods. Most of us do not get enough fiber in our daily diets, and that’s just a shame. Fiber not only promotes overall general health, but also can significantly aid in your fat-burning efforts. Leafy greens, fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds are ideal sources of fiber.

I guess I would have to look at the studies but it could be true. Not sure, Jen fitgrl222@... wrote: In a message dated 6/26/2007 12:01:53 P.M. US Eastern

i think that they believe you can workout with more intensity during

the 30 min blocks than you can in the 60 mins. it is hard to

maintain high intensity that long, so those hour long cardio

workouts tend to be intervals or steady state instead of a full-on

blast.

excellent point carolyn.although i don't recommend TOO much high impact on those workouts. mixing it up with low and high impact while keeping it moderate-high intensity keeps you from burning out and getting injured. kassiaFestival City Concrete/ & Carolyn Visser <pvisser@...> wrote: i think that they believe you can workout with more intensity during the 30 min blocks than you can in the 60 mins. it is hard to maintain high intensity that long, so those hour long cardio workouts tend to be intervals or steady state instead of a full-on blast.:*carolyn. ldy_solana's

Maybe you would burn more fat by doing two short cardio workouts instead of just one. I've read somewhere that for hour(s) after doing cardio you still burn fat so if you do 2 high intensity workouts, one in the morning and one in the evening then you should burn double the fat.... hmmm something to think about. I few years ago I used to walk 30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening and I did slim down (lose weight) pretty fast by doing that.
