Guest guest
I never get tired of eating! :-) Honestly, I have to have my 6 meals now, even on free days. ewhite723 <ewhite723@...> wrote: Maybe I'm totally whacked out, but does anyone else here just get sick of eating?! I feel like I'm eating CONSTANTLY! I keep track of every morsel I put in my mouth using FitDay. I measure EVERY portion, I never guess. So I know I'm not getting too much food. Some days it's difficult for me to reach the number of calories that I need (it's only 1400) because I just get tired of eating. By the time the 5th meal rolls around, I've had it and the thought of more food is revolting. Mind you, this isn't EVERY day. It's just really been bad this week. Anyone else out there like that sometimes? No I don't have and never have had an eating disorder. Thanks!
Guest guest
Most of the time I don't get sick of eating, but I definitely get sick of nutrition software, sick of measuring and logging every bite, and sick of eating the same five bland meals rotated endlessly. It sounds like you might be in that kind of a rut. You might check out some new recipes and meal ideas. There are quite a few in the club Files section or in Eating for Life http://eatingforlife.com/recipes/ It's important that you enjoy and look forward to your meals rather than just gagging them down for the sake of hitting a number. Also, eating is much less of a burden if it doesn't require constant measuring and logging. You might try winging it with palm and fist sized portions of authorized foods. That actually does work extremely well. Maybe some days you'll come up low, but other days you'll be up a couple hundred calories. That kind of natural zig-zag in calorie intake is an important part of BFL. You wouldn't want to level it off at precisely 1400 calories every day. With palm and fist portions, maybe one day you have 1100 and the next you have 1700. Your average is still 1400 but you get to eat more on days where you have an appetite and less on days where you're revolted by food. Plus, your metabolism gets a boost from the variable calorie intake. Guest guest
, I agree. After being on Weight Watchers for the past 5 years, I can NOT go back to tracking all that I eat and counting all calories. I am enjoying this :free reign: of portions, with the size of my fist and palm. After years of dieting, this is liberating! Guest guest
Im with you on the counting points and measuring..... I've had it with all of it. If this is going to be how it is for the rest of my life you can bet Im not going to write down my points everyday until I die!!!! I love the hand as measurment idea. I just wish I had a bigger hand! > > Maybe I'm totally whacked out, but does anyone else here just get sick > > of eating?! I feel like I'm eating CONSTANTLY! Guest guest
I have only used the palm and fist portion sizes. I don't want to think about exact calorie counts, etc...too much math for me for a complete lifetime. Plus, when I'm really hungry, or want more of a certain authorized food...I just use my hubby's LARGE hands for measurement. Hey, that still count right? lol Hansen Fletcher <sihdk@...> wrote: Im with you on the counting points and measuring..... I've had it with all of it. After years of detailing everything in books, spreadsheets, diaries, etc. I find it very refreshing and a lot less stressful. Guest guest
I love to eat all day. No issue for me. I only eat what I love, and I've been trying new recipes. What I HATE is washing to many freaking dishes!!! My scale went out so I'm stuck using the old fist method. I don't trust my measurements so I don't mind weighing and checking just to be sure. It goes both ways too, I want every freaking gram owed to me!!! I'll relax and eyeball more when I get to my goal weight. That's when I'll learn to maintain my new fantastic body. ;-) > > Maybe I'm totally whacked out, but does anyone else here just get sick > of eating?! I feel like I'm eating CONSTANTLY! Guest guest
My poor husband has been gaining weight as I lose weight - we work at home - I cook and prepare my food - it smells good, so he prepares food for himself too (he didn't used to eat during the day) n At 01:40 PM 3/22/2006, you wrote: >i am starting to feel like i'm in the kitchen all day long > >On Mar 22, 2006, at 1:24 PM, heyjami wrote: > > > I love to eat all day.
