I was looking for instructions or a video on doing lateral raises because I didn't feel like I was doing them right, especially as my shoulders get fatigued and I found this site: www.expertvillage.com. I didn't explore the site, just the exercise links for Beginning Weight Lifting and Proper Form. They have videos for many different exercises, including many with machines. The lateral raise video was quick but very helpful. I saw that I am getting way too sloppy with my form on these so I think I'll stick with the lower weight (probably 3 lbs.) until it truly doesn't fatigue me toward the end of the last set. Thought I'd pass it along for others that might be interested.

I take bodypump classes and the instructors are always saying to keep

your elbows below your shoulders, you don't want to raise your arms

higher than your shoulders because you could pinch a nerve. I think

this is the same exercise, but we do a variation with the elbows bent

for a set and then with the arms wider (not as bent, with a slight bend

en the elbow) and they say that wider is harder. I do 5lbs easily with

the bent elbows, but it is definitely tougher with a straigher arm.
