Guest guest
Ellen-- Temps are a definite factor. I usually don't mix until my oils and liquids are in the neighborhood of 110 degrees. HTH Cheryl B.
Guest guest
Ellen, It is very difficult to figure out what your problem might be without more specific information. If you post your formula and your step by step technique for making your lotion, it might go a long way toward figuring out your problem. Regards, Ellen wrote: Hi, its me again with another lotion problem. After I make the lotion and it cools down the lotion starts to seperate. The water and oil's I put into it seperate. Why is this happening? Is there some ingredient that I'm suppose to put in the lotion to help keep it from seperating. Or does it have to do with temperature when I mix the two together? Can the lotion makers out there someone give me some advise please. Thanks, Ellen
Guest guest
I have had mani problems with my lotions separating as well. when i have attempted to make balms they are always too hard and come out in chunks when you try and use them. Any ideas would help me out too. jrlee118@...
Guest guest
Hi Ellen, When you make your lotion, do you put emulsifying wax in it, or do you use a recipe that calls for citric acid and borax. That might be your problem. If you use a recipe that has the E wax in it you won't have that problem, as the E wax is an emulsifyer. Guest guest
-Hi, yes I'm using recipes with emulsifying wax.Either that or beeswax with a little borax. What does it mean if it is this way even though I'm using these?
