Guest guest
All I understand the papertowel theory about loosing weight/fat... However I must ask - is there anything that is recommended to specifically target the back and back fat. I know that the wrong thing to do is to stop wieghts (although tempting). I am a swimmer because I do triathlons, so I swim about 2-3 week. The rest of my body is pretty fit, but for some reason this linebacker back of mine is dominating my poor 5'2 " frame! Any advise? Did anyone start off with a really big back and managed to slim down to something more feminine and slim? I'm at a loss.... And frustrated! Guest guest
Swimmer hold fat in their backs. It¹s the very last place you¹ll lose it. Your body thinks it needs it to float. Additionally you¹ve developed a lot of muscle from your swimming so it¹s not a great combo for a small back. OTOH, most swimmers have really great backs so maybe you need to look at yourself in a different light... Do you have a SO or someone objective to look at you...leaving? Guest guest
Dr. Val has made a very good point! After being sacked almost entirely from any activity from breaking my right ankle in 3 different places and requiring surgery, I thought my right quad had lost alot of muscle tone, (of course my calf did, Cast). After starting back at the gym, I was talking with a guy who has been lifting for a very long time and I mentioned that I lost so much muscle in my quad. He said you probably didn't lose much at all and that was just my perspective psyhcologically. I protested and said after I showed it to my husband, he agreed. Then he said because you asked him to look for it and if I hadn't mentionedit , he probably wouldn't have noticed it. Made some sense to me. So take Dr. Val's advice but don't say does my back look really wide. Debbie " so maybe you need to look at > yourself in a different light...
