Thursday and Friday I had concession stand duty for baseball. Normally that is no big deal, but this year it was crazy. Thursday night I opened the stand only to realize that some of the power was not working (soda coolers, fridge, pretzel warmer etc). The cash register was also temperamental so I had to just calculate in my head and write everything down as I sold it. It was a busy night too so it was crazy. Thank goodness that gal that was on duty with me was as laid back like me and we managed. 15 minutes before we were set to close, we heard this huge bang and saw flames shooting out of the roof in front of us and then lots of smoke where we were. Evidently the circuits were overloaded and blew up! I thought for sure we would get off of concession duty on Friday night, but the township brought in a large gas generator and we did our second shift in much better order than Thursday. I also made two main courses for the Teacher's Appreciation day on Friday so I was whooped by time midnight rolled around. I didn't workout yesterday - too much errand running. Today I broke in my new Debbie Sieber's Slim Series Express workouts. I did both the Cardio Core and Cardio Sculpt workouts. There are also a 6 minute abs and 30 minute Cool It Off workouts as well. The Cardio Core workout is 30 minutes of core based cardio work with 3 lb weights. I really liked this workout. Debbie is the best at cueing, but it was a really nice workout - emphasized core and lower body. Cardio Sculpt is also 30 minutes and uses 3 and 5lb handweights along with a resistance band to really work your upper body. Debbie worked the whole upper body and some leg work as well. She used the resistance bands to perform firewalkers which burned my outer thighs nicely. She really moves along quickly in both workouts to keep your heart rate up. Both the sculpt and core workouts have the option of doing the 6 minute ab routine as well (comes on a separate disk too) which is nice when you only have 30-35 minutes to workout. I might try another 30 minute workout of some kind tomorrow and throw in the Cool It Off and Ab workout to test drive them. I am definitely glad I bought these. _ -- Get Fit!
