Guest guest
So we don't count our flaxseed oil calories SO do we count them if we are using ground flaxseeds? > > > > As long as you don't heat the flax oil, you can eat it however you > > want. Guest guest
I believe if you arent counting the oil, then you don't count the ground flaxseeds either. It is really personal preference which one you choose. > > So we don't count our flaxseed oil calories SO do we count them if > we are using ground flaxseeds? Guest guest
I don't count the calories from flaxseed oil. I don't count the calories from ground flaxseeds. As has said, they are supplements - she gave her full explanation on March 9th, but I can't find her post in the archives. n At 08:50 AM 3/10/2006, you wrote: >So we don't count our flaxseed oil calories SO do we count them if >we are using ground flaxseeds? Guest guest
I'm new, so apologize if this has already been asked and answered: Is there a difference between ground flaxseeds and flaxseed oil? Benefits of one over the other? I've been using flaxseeds. Thanks for any information you can pass along. > >So we don't count our flaxseed oil calories SO do we count them if > >we are using ground flaxseeds? > > > > > >
Guest guest
They are both good. The oil is more concentrated, but it's useless if it winds up sitting in your fridge and not being used. Guest guest
I think you can go with either oil or ground seeds, both are good. You just need to have more flax meal to equal the same amount of oil. I think 1 Tbs oil is the equivalent of 2-3 Tbs flaxmeal. I prefer the ground seeds because I can grind a bit at a time, so it is always fresh (keep in the freezer, it doesnt go rancid). It adds a nutty flavour to my cottage cheese (others might think it is weird, but I like it). I sometimes add to cereal/oatmeal. You get the added bonus of fiber with the flaxmeal. It is also cheaper than oil by a huge amount. If you don't like the taste of oil, I'd recommend trying flaxmeal because it might be more palatable. Just make sure you grind the seeds. If you eat the seeds whole, it goes right through you and you don't get the benefit of the oil (our stomachs don't break it down). > > I'm new, so apologize if this has already been asked and answered: > > Is there a difference between ground flaxseeds and flaxseed oil? > Benefits of one over the other? Guest guest
So should I not count those calories? > > > > I'm new, so apologize if this has already been asked and answered: > > > > Is there a difference between ground flaxseeds and flaxseed oil? > > Benefits of one over the other? Guest guest
You should do what you feel comfortable with! I don't count calories at all. If I counted calories, I would not include the calories from ground flaxseeds, or from flaxoil. n At 11:20 AM 3/10/2006, you wrote: >So should I not count those calories?
