Welcome Jan,

Why don't you call Angie at the Herberie. She is very friendly and helpful

and I'm sure will understand you don't want to lay out $300 to start out. She

will help you figure out what you need to get started.

Try this link: http://ca.store./cranberrylane/shampoo.html It looks

like it would make a nice base; you could add essential oils to it for your

specific needs. Then if you like what you've made, you can work towards making

your own base. I also recommend www.naturesgift.com for essential oils.

OK. So, I lurk all the time, and only post if I have a question. Here goes:

I've been looking at some of the formulas at The Herbarie. There's a lot

that I would like to try, so I made a note and then went back to see

what I would need to buy. The total came to nearly $300. That's a little

steep for my budget. I am particularly interested in making shampoos and

conditioners. My dd, d-i-l, and I all have long hair. Would someone

recommend a formula that you are particularly fond of and/or suggest

ingredients to purchase? TIA

Yes Angie is great, I'm glad you called her. It is nice to know you can call

and talk to the " real " person who knows everything about the business and

supplies.

Let us know how it all comes out!

I talked with Angie this morning. She was a great help! I'm ordering

small quantities of several things. She went over several of the items

and how to use them, and her personal recommendations. She said if I had

questions just call or e-mail her! Thanks!!
