Hi,

Long, busy weekend - at least I managed to declutter

two more closets and get some other stuff done.

Anyway, I'm sorry Ihaven't been around much

Barb P. - so sorry to hear about your kitty.

Carolyn - I'm also sorry to hear about your doggie

Fay - glad you made it to ND safely, I'll be thinking

about you as you lay your DH to rest

Jen - your in my thoughts and prayers with your

upcomind surgery and financial burdens from it. It is

absurd that someone like you can't get help in paying

for this - UGH!

Tess and Kathy - you are both evil! I want Squeeze

(think it might just be my mother's day gift!) and I

want more T-Tapp now! GRR~

Now, on to the workouts!

I took off Saturday and Sunday. Sat we had an

overnight houseguest from Friday night and I ususally

take Saturdays off anyway - and even more so when we

have someone sleeping in the bedroom next to my

workout room. Sunday, I planned to workout but I was

really tired and couldn't get myself motivated early

enough and then the day got away from me. I did do

housework and decluttering both of those days, so I

was active. don't think I sat down on Saturday until

dinner time!

Today, was scheduled to be " functional fitness cardio

& sculpt " but i wasn't in the mood for a TLT. I went

with a semi-virgin - FitPrime's Up and Down with " JAC "

(Jeanne Anne Copelston? - who was the lead in one of

Tracie Long's older workouts -t he ones taht were near

impossible for regular folks to do!) I had had this

workout once before, tried it once, and hated it. I

traded it immediately. A few months ago, I had the

chance to get it back and I'm not quite sure what it

was I hated about it! It is a " fussy " workout - lots

of prop changes. There are also lots of moves with

the medicine ball where you toss it and bounce it and

I don't feel comfortable doing that in my family room

with a glass door, ceiling fan/fixture, TV, ceramic

tile floor, etc. all nearby. I do, however, do the

same motions but without letting go of the ball and

that seems to work fine. This one is a " FIRM meets

Functional Fitness " - I guess is the best way to

describe it. Benson, creator of the original

FIRM workouts did the FitPrime series - it is like

FIRM with a twist, I guess. This one was pretty

heavily focused on legs, as is the case with most FIRM

workouts. Overall, I enjoyed it and I'm not sure what

I didn't like about it the first time. Maybe I was

having a bad day! :)

There are a few moves which are questionable to me - a

'duck " squat where you squat with your knees turned in

- but you can easily substitute a standard squat.

Also there are " goodmornings " with the barbell across

your shoulders in the same position as if you were

going to do a traditional squat - I feel better doing

this move with my barbell in the more traditional

position of being in front - or even better, I like

dumbells for this.

Anyway, nothing that couldn't be substituted

appropriately without sacrificing the workout. Think

I'll reach for this one again.

After working out, I got really sick to my stomach

though. I don't think it was anything I ate - DH, DD

and I pretty much ate the same stuff all weekend. Now

I'm feeling kinda run down and generally yucky. I

hope whatever it is passes quickly. A friend of ours

was down for the count with something for about 4

days. I went in to work b/c I was out on Friday and

feared what would be waiting for me, otherwise I would

have taken the day off! I have soup and crackers for

lunch and I " m hoping they stay safely in place.

My check in from last week:

Sunday - Kathy Matrix Sculpt

Monday - K.S. Matrix Walk

Tuesday - K.S. Circuit workout from P:You

Wed - K.S. Power Step

Thurs - Walk Slim 2 miler and Kest

Energize

Friday - Prevention Cellulite workout (cardio only)

and Prevention Pilates workout (both matwork and

standing sections)

Sat - Rest

I also had T-Tapp and stretch add-ons in there.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!

Donna
