Good for you Melinda! I am so happy to hear how he was able to finish dinner on his own. Did you let him know how proud you were of him? I do hope he will continue to get the therapy that he needs, and it is great that he is agreeing to medication. It is a hard road for these kids....but they can do it! Melinda I could just feel your frustration in your posts. Yesterday we had a taste of what it could be like when school starts. got into the bathroom and Alana needed to get in there to get her clothes and shower. She was going to go try out for the soccer team and was nervous. (so her anxiety level was up) Well of course to all the clothes in the bathroom hampers are dirty...so why would she want them? (she had not done her laundry!) and Alana could go upstairs to shower...and she didn't need her makeup to go try out for soccer....he was going on and on. My anxiety went up (I was going to the dentist in 20 min and Alanas try out was in 1 hour) and I was thinking DAMN him! He needs to get out! He finally did get out.....I had already left for the dentist. BUT...I have been thinking a lot about school and need to get the kids back in the mode of being ready and keeping the other person in mind. I have noticed my anxiety level spiking and it upsets me enough to NOT want to go through it again. I have actually thinking about meds for myself! I don't think I am strong enough to put up with much this year!!! take care, Vivian __________________________________________________
