Guest guest
I think " abdominal vacuums " do wonders for drawing in the abdominals and can be done anytime, anywhere. Here's a link describing them. http://www.thefactsaboutfitness.com/research/ab_workouts.htm c-section belly hang ok.. so this is another thing that is driving me crazy. What ab exercises and techniques can I do to get my ab up and in particularly the muscles to the sides of my belly button - stats. waist 33 " around belly button 35 " and belly bottom 37 " - not a pretty sight. thanks. Guest guest
- is this like in pilates where you have to push your belly button to the floor? It's like holding in your stomach, but still breathing? I've been doing these a lot lately just sitting at my desk or waiting for the train, and I thought my abs felt tighter, but I wasn't sure if it was a " real " exercise or if it worked outside of doing pilates. > > I think " abdominal vacuums " do wonders for drawing in the abdominals and can be done anytime, anywhere. Guest guest
I think that is real exercise. Last night I was reading this book called Look Great Naked. I bought it before the BFL. It¹s basically a lot of the same exercises and theories in BFL. However, one of the things it said you could do that would improve your muscle tone is isometrics which I think the vacuum stomach exercise falls into. Flexing or contracting your muscles (stomach, butt, legs, arms) for 30 seconds, waiting 15 seconds, repeating for 5 minutes. You can do it standing in line, watching tv, lying in bed, etc. I think this works along with with was saying about how to increase our activity levels though out the day. Guest guest
Is this for vertical or horizontal cut? I think it's a lot easier for the horizontal cut. > > ok.. so this is another thing that is driving me crazy. Guest guest
I'm not familiar with pliates, but sounds like it. I do them in the car on my way back and forth to work. c-section belly hang > > > ok.. so this is another thing that is driving me crazy. Guest guest
Lose the bodyfat. Follow BFL workout schedule and eating plan. ;-) The Myth of Loose Skin: http://www.bodyfatguide.com/LooseSkin.htm Jami (1 c-section, 1 VBAC, stomach is now flat again at 23% bodyfat). Note, there is no good definition there yet, but I'm hoping at 18% bodyfat things will be different. Guest guest
I checked out that website last night. While I agree with him, can see his point on the loose skin...he has some other ideas that are kind of out there. Like lose a pound a day by walking 7 hours on the treadmill?? Who can walk 7 hours on the treadmill?? I have to work ya know, LOL. Amy > > Lose the bodyfat. Guest guest
OMG, I could never walk for 7 hrs on a treadmill. We've done 4 hour walks on Saturdays (I think 5 hrs even one time) but it was walk, rest, water, coffee, walk, etc. With the stroller & kids even. Exhausting. Plus, losing a pound a day is contraindicated if you want to only lose fat! The body is eating that precious lean body mass! Forget that... I work too hard for that to happen! Lol Jami > > > > Lose the bodyfat. Guest guest
I went to an abs class last night. It was only 15 minutes and a quick view of some ab exercises. We did a set of 15 of each exercise. One that we did that I like and find will help is the plank. It looks so much easier than it is. But it is another one that works. I had a c-section with my last child(7 yrs ago). I also had to have a cyst removed along with my left ovary. So I have an incision from my belly button down. If I can do anything to firm up that area of my belly I know that I will feel that i have improved. Celine:) c-section belly hang > > > ok.. so this is another thing that is driving me crazy.
