I am going to try increasing the incline next treadmill day, it will work my

glutes too right? A friend was telling me he runs at a 9. That just scares me

LOL

WHen I started, I only played with the incline - raising it to make it more

difficult (I hate running/jogging)

Then I started increasing the speed.

Then I had to decrease the incline, and I kept the speed up.

Now I'm thinking of decreasing the speed, and increasing the incline

They're all good - just keep changing it around to stay interested.

Do what works for you - ie, if you hate running, then increase the incline

and decrease the speed.

, WOW, that scares me too, LOL. I did it my HIIT at 1 and it was

hard, LOL. Yes, I have heard it's really good for your glutes too! : )

I'm up to 5! And yes, it's a total glute-slam. I feel it right in

the middle/side of my biggest part of my butt. There are muscles in

there just dying to get out!!!! haha.

9 is totally scary. I might try it to see what it feels like. I've

done 6 and it's a little hard to balance yet for me, but I'll spend

more time there and pretty soon it'll be fine.

Im not a runner. I just dont like it. Plus, the impact on your knees on a

treadmill isnt the best for you. So I do a fast walk on an incline. I walk at

3.7-4.0 mph at a 15 incline, which is the max. Thats the cardio I do on my

weight training days. I noticed that I burn more calories in the same amount of

time then my friends that jog at no incline.

I use the eliptical on my HIIT days. I try to keep my speed around 4.0 and

increase/descrese the levels.

He is a fireman though and spends his free time scaling buildings in the city :)

Maybe that has something to do with it. I feel better knowing that I am not the

only one who can't do 9 :) Tomorrow is cardio and I going with the incline! My

leg workout is on Friday though...should I be careful not to work my legs too

hard tomorrow?
