I do have lots of frozen goatsmilk; but how much do I let it thaw before

adding lye? Can I do it while all ice, or do I have to wait until it's like a

slushie?

I'd like to do it just for a 4 bar recipe, so that I can experiment adding

herbs and the like.

Anyone got ideas on a 4-bar recipe?

The usual recipe I use is with olive oil, coconut oil.

thanks!

Hello,

Goatsmilk, soap is very easy. Using your usual soap recipe, substitute

goatsmilk for the water. Be sure and freeze your goatsmilk to a slushy stage so

the lye doesn't burn it. Proceed as usual.

If using powdered goatsmilk it can be done differently. I determine how much

powder it would take to mix with the water to reconstitute enough for the

recipe. I save enough water back to make a paste and refrigerate it. Then I

mix the lye etc. After trace, (Or the cook if I am doing hp) I mix the cold

paste into the soap.

Hope that helps. I love goatsmilk soap.

Grins,

Kaye
