Guest guest
Hey Deb, I'm a pseudo-vegetarian. I do eat fish, but that's it (no land animals). I'm ovo-lacto. What are you? It's a challenge sometimes finding protein sources when on the run. But it's definitely do-able! Guest guest
For you vegetarian BFLrs, there is a great article in the July/August 2000 issue of Oxygen magazine on vegetarians. It even include some recipes. The article is several pages and they talk about all kinds of vegetarians and body shaping. Just thought I'd pass it along to all who are interested. Oxygen is a women's fitness magazine for those who are not familiar with it. sorry guys but the article might interest you also. ~Laury

Guest guest
I don't remember who was recently looking for alternative sources of non-animal protein. But I meant to tell you about Chana Dahl, which was discussed a couple of weeks ago. You can read about it at: http://www.mendosa.com/chanadal.html http://www.ellenskitchen.com/recipebox/beanspeas3.html We found it at our local grocery store and it was inexpensive. I made a very very simple batch of it, and I'm eating it over steamed vegs. I haven't spent the time to get a clear handle on the exact nutrients - but Mendosa's site has all necessary info. And the bag we purchased also had nutrient info. It's an excellent source of protein and fiber, and a very healthy carb. n
