Guest guest
which ones are you referring too?? there are some even i forgot about(like their earlier stuff). i just did shape cardio from netflix. its 5-10 min. dance routines that you can program to do only a few at a time or the whole thing, shuffle them around so on. they routines are so-so, not really to much dance, and the cueing for the movements(or even form for some of it) isn't really that great. i wanted to like it but i just couldn't. the bonus yoga sculpt workout was really awesome though. lisa wheeler does choregraphy for denise austin videos, so that is where i reconized the pattern she used for this workout. nice and flowing. the new ones, bikini body camps, are much better. they are more atheletic focused moves. the transforming dvd has 3 workouts, one is all cardio intervals, the second is all body sculpting with weights and bands, and the third is a 10 min. mix of all cardio, all sculpting, and a cardio/sculpt mix. redefining body camp has two cardio/sculpt workouts and 3-5 min. mini add-ons for legs, arms, and abs. whatever they did in the other workouts they condensed in these mini workouts so there isn't really anything new. for the sculpt they use compound movments quite alot too so you get upper/lower together and then sometimes split it up for more focus on one muscle group. all workouts are 30 mins so great to rotate for the busy person. and they are not super tough but they are not easy either. you get out of it what you put into it. and if you can't do much, they have a modifier that will make it lower impact while showing you that is it still can be a great workout. all the workouts are led by either lisa wheeler, michelle dozios, or tracy york but all 3 appear in every workout(excpet for cardio that is just lisa, michelle, and unknown background exercisers). they work very well together, the chemistry and the ideas really flow with these girls. i always like michelle and tracy workouts but lisa is a new one with me,but she is just great. i am doing the shape theme all week so you can catch a little more on my thoughts. i should be recieving shape toning today or tomorrow(i hope today so i can do it tomorrow morning LOL) and that also has a bonus cardio workout on it. i haven't done this one so i will be sure to give my thoughts. kassia <caseynsidney@...> wrote: I see several of you do the Shape Workouts, I was looking at them today and there isn't much of a description on them. 'shape:long lean & strong' is vinyasa yoga and lasts for around 25 mins. i could do it all without any difficulty, so it is not a hard yoga workout... for experienced beginners/low intermediates in my opinion. instructor was ok (teri hanson who is an editor at shape magazine)... there were a few instances where she missed a cue but overall she did alright and she was pleasant. for some reason, she switches to a voice-over at the end to do a few pilates abs exercises and for corpse pose. there is also a 5-7 min bonus stretch on the dvd, which is merely some stretches for the legs and is nothing to be excited about. actually, the whole dvd is just average... not bad, but not that thrilling either. could serve as a good intro to vinyasa yoga, i think, but beginners should preview the workout first. i hope that this helps a bit, :*carolyn.
