Guest guest
I like or kson 2% or full-fat. Fat free is pretty vile no matter what the brand. I can't eat it without hiding it in a recipe. Plus, a little dairy fat is good for you. It has CLA in it. Just keep an eye on the calories and serving size. A big portion of full-fat cottage cheese has a whomping number of calories. On 2/22/06, Tiana Hartley <mamahart3@...> wrote: > I was wondering which kind of cottage cheese everyone prefers. I think I am finally past that horrible experience and ready to try it again, but hoping to save myself from having to taste a lot of different brands to find a good one. So my question is, which do most of you use, low-fat or fat-free? And what brand(s) do you prefer? > > Thanks, > Tiana
Guest guest
I always buy low-fat, but I buy salt free. When you want to mix it with other things, it has a less strong taste. Guest guest
I buy Breakstone's 2%. It is the only " light " cottage cheese I've found that I can stand. Barbara
Guest guest
I've never tried cottage cheese before BFL. I buy land of lakes cottage cheese with 2% fat. I like it. It tastes like cream cheese to me when I blend it. I can only eat it blended. I hate curds! > > I was wondering which kind of cottage cheese everyone prefers. Guest guest
I use Light N Lively reduced fat. I can't stand the fat-free stuff either and of the brands sold around here, that's the only one I can eat. Guest guest
Thanks everyone! It looks like my mistake was the fat-free, so I am going to try for the 2% this time. I am going to write down all the brands you suggested and see which ones are available at the store I go to. Thanks again! Tiana --------------------------------- Autos. Looking for a sweet ride? Guest guest
Nordica 1%. It comes in 3lb tubs at Sam's Club. Blends incredibly smooth when using in recipes. > > I was wondering which kind of cottage cheese everyone prefers. Guest guest
The only CC i can stomach is NO Salt Added 2% Milk CC and it is only available at Vons in Southern California. I think it is made by Lucerne and it is tasty. HTH, Cottage Cheese Recommendations >I was wondering which kind of cottage cheese everyone prefers. Guest guest
The lowfat 2% is pretty good. The sure way to get your CC is to mix a half cup or so in with a Myoplex and blend it up really well. It thickens the Myoplex to milkshake thickness and you cannot taste the CC at all. I go through three 16 oz tubs a week doing this, and I swear that all this CC I'm consumiing is responsible for the muscle growth I've enjoyed for the past couple of months. It tastes good in all three flavors of Myoplex. Stasia

I live close to those cows and no other dairy company comes close to their taste and quality! Have a great day! Sprinter > > my favorite brand is Breakstone, even their fat free doesn't taste bad.
